Spring Semester Kicked off with a Rush!!

We're back!!!

An exciting new school year has begun at Citrus College in which the Lord Jesus has granted the blessing for the CCN club to come together again for a brand new journey in the mission to Love God and make disciples. So far the Citrus chapter kicked off the spring semester with their first meeting reviewing the teaching of "Hell's Best Kept Secret" taught by club leader Kevin Nunez. The CCN team explored the confrontational issue of bringing back the use of God's Law in evangelism in which the modern church has forsaken for the past century. The meeting was a great turnout and the topic captivated the team to reach out to the lost, effectively, biblically, the way Jesus did it.

Furthermore, the Citrus College campus has witness the power of God in the last week of winter semester as well as the first week of the spring term when evangelists Steven Gutierrez (A.K.A. Steven the Berean) and Kevin Nunez preached the glorious the Gospel of Jesus in the open air! Students from all over the campus gathered around the concourse to listen as well as share their opinions regarding the future Judgment of God and the grace offered on the finish work of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Some student's became hostile towards the message by exclaiming their views that God is lenient towards everybody and by asking for forgiveness alone would still grant them access in the kingdom of heaven. One instance a student confronted Kevin and disputed the issue that the God of the bible is imperfect since He claims to be a "jealous" God and that jealousy is a human emotion that cannot be demonstrated by a perfect God. Other people who were present agreed to the student's claims. This particular topic is one that has led many away from the Lord such as celebrity talk show host Oprah Winfrey. However, using the context of God's Holy Law and how God has given life to every man, He was repaid not with gratitude but by rejection as man receives God's blessing and gives the credit to idols. Much like a husband encounters his wife with another man, the husband's jealously is a righteous emotion in which without it would prove that he never loved her. God's jealously for us is a righteous jealousy in which it proves His love for us.

As for week two of spring semester, the school clubs gathered together for the Citrus College "Club Rush" in which each club would promote their group and provided sign ups for students who are interested to join. The Citrus CCN group also attended the rush in which they provided candy, gospel tracts, and fliers for the club meetings and as an added bonus the flip chart made an encore appearance in which people tested their intelligence by taking the "Intelligence Test" as well as hearing how they are able to obtain forgiveness of sins by repenting and trusting the Savior. "...How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!" Romans 10:15

Please pray for the CCN Citrus College chapter so that the Lord will continue to use them to reach out to the Lost by "pulling [them] out of the fire." Jude 1:23

Update- Evangelism Basic Training Course

Hey everyone! This winter session has been really productive for us as we have been teaching "The Way of the Master- Basic Training Course." We are training our club members to be soul-winners for Christ on the College Campus and everywhere else they find themselves at.

Pray for laborers and God will bring them I've experienced that prayer petition here at Citrus College and God has answered. I give the glory to God and now we got to work plowing the soil on the campus and planting the seeds and praying that God will bring to the saving grace all those whom he has in plan."

A beautiful Gospel presentation I found..

We have all sinned against God. We're all liars, we all do hateful things to one another, we're all disgusting sinners in the sight of God. And we deserve Hell for what we've done, because our sin was against our Creator. But because our Creator didn't want to loose us forever, 2,000 years ago God came down to earth as a man and gave up His sinless life for ours. We broke the law of God and we deserve to be punished, but Jesus paid our fine in His life's blood. This fact means God can legally dismiss your case. He can commute your death sentence and let you live, because of the suffering death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.


'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
'
What you MUST do is repent (turn from all sin) and trust in Jesus alone. If you do that, God will grant you the gift of everlasting life.


So, don't put it off. Repent and trust in Jesus today, now. I would like to be a reminder of your own death, you may not HAVE tomorrow.


I am absolutely sure of the Gospel of Christ. More sure of this than of anything else I've ever known. I KNOW this God. I KNOW He is trustworthy. You can argue about this and that, but your arguments don't trump my experience.


This isn't about 'religion'. I don't get any 'kudos' for this. This is about life and death. OUR life and death. JESUS' life and death.


If you do not accept the Gift of Salvation, you will suffer Hell. Because my sins are forgiven, I am free from the bonds of death and the pain of sin. And even though my body is dying, I have never felt so alive. I've never had such life in me. This is bigger than me, this is bigger than pain. Maybe someday I won't be able to hold my pencil because of the pain. I don't care, this is bigger than the pain.


Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.

CCN 09 Pasadena Rose Parade Invasion!

Hey everyone! CCN Citrus has been very busy making Connection,preaching the word,learning, praying etc. I hope everyone has been having a good Christmas, and New years so far. We have all faced some trails but God is still in control and very good!. God has opened a door for us at the Rose parade in Pasadena ,CA . Thanks to our connection from a old friendship from the"Great news network"(deceased) :( thanks to help and support from Calvary chapel. We will be hitting the streets from 12pm December 31 to New years day 12pm . The Rose parade gathers THOUSANDS of people which all need Jesus ! About 12-13+ people will be going some from CCN Citrus And some of our other brothers and sisters in the faith who are also faithful evangelist who are not ashamed of the gospel! This event is going to be exciting! you never know what your going to run into on the streets especially on new years :D


We will be passing out tracts,doing one to one, and open air preaching of course preaching the biblical gospel of Law,Cross ,and Grace.
